Controller
The Controller is an experienced accountant that manages the accounting staff with focus on day-to-day tactical accounting matters. As the company's chief operational accounting expert, the Controller is the company's "go-to" person for all accounting related matters. The Controller is responsible for ensuring the company's transactions are properly recorded and that financial statements are generated monthly.
The Controller is responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day accounting and cash flow maintenance (including payroll processing, accounts receivable and collections, and accounts payable distributions)
- Implementing accounting software and establishing/maintaining chart of accounts
- Updating financial models and analyzing budget to actual activity
- Preparing financial statements in a timely manner for use by the senior management to better manage the business
- Manage annual audit preparation and process
